Our story
A legacy of courage, color & the wow factor.
Founded by Carmen “Butchie” D’Amato, the South Philly Vikings first marched in the Fancy Brigade Division in 1986. Just two years later, “Motor City Motorvation” earned the club its first first-place finish.
Ever since, the Vikings have pushed the parade forward with high-energy choreography, elaborate sets, huge props and new technology—all while giving back to the community that made the club.
